Erica Harris of Murrieta has taking a leap of love. She recently married a man she would meet for the first time in person at the Ontario International Airport (near Los Angeles). CBS2\/KCAL9\u2019s Jennifer Kastner interviewed Ms. Harris as she anxiously waited for her groom\u2019s flight to arrive.
\n \u201cYou don\u2019t drag your feet with real love. You leap into that like there\u2019s no tomorrow, and that\u2019s what we\u2019re doing,\u201d Harris said in her blissful tone.
\n After spending months getting to know one another long distance, a romance blossomed.<\/p>\n
Finally, the groom bought a one-way plane ticket and minutes after he landed, Arte Vann dropped to a knee and popped the question.<\/p>\n
She said yes.<\/p>\n
So what was their advice to others who are looking for love?
\n \u201cDon\u2019t listen to your thoughts. Don\u2019t listen to your head. Follow your heart. Follow your soul,\u201d Vann said.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor anybody that doesn\u2019t believe in fairy tales anymore, who am I? And it can happen to you too,\u201d Harris added. [1]
\nCan you imagine becoming engaged when you first meet in person? What if you don\u2019t like the smell of his breath or she has man hands? You\u2019d have to be pretty sure of the love you share to take such a leap.<\/p>\n
But this is nothing to the Christian. Our engagement to Christ begins while He remains at a distance. And long before we meet, Jesus has already demonstrated His love for us by going to the cross to die for our sins. He is \u201ctrue love.\u201d Don\u2019t drag your feet if you\u2019ve yet to respond to Him. Leap at the chance like there\u2019s no tomorrow! And then join the millions who wait anxiously to meet their Bridegroom in person for the first time!
