(for verses, see sheet)<\/p>\n<p>  Evidence in the Old Testament:<br \/>\n    Women as prophets.<br \/>\n    Woman as judge.<br \/>\n    Women as queens.<\/p>\n<p>  Evidence in the New Testament:<br \/>\n    Jesus gave a big role to women.<br \/>\n       He was blessed by them as a baby (Anna).<br \/>\n       He forgave, taught and healed them.<br \/>\n    Women served Jesus.<br \/>\n       They gave him money and hospitality.<br \/>\n       They prepared his body for burial.<br \/>\n       They were the first to see the empty tomb.<br \/>\n       They were the first to see the risen Jesus.<br \/>\n    In Acts, women played an important role.<br \/>\n       They prayed with the whole church and received Holy Spirit.<br \/>\n       They were thrown into prison.<br \/>\n       They were called the leading converts in Europe.<br \/>\n       They evangelized and taught.<br \/>\n       They were prophets.<br \/>\n    Role of women in Paul&#8217;s letters.<br \/>\n       They were deacon(esse)s.<br \/>\n       They helped him evangelize.<br \/>\n       They prayed publicly.<br \/>\n       Men and women are interdependent and equal.<\/p>\n<p>  Supposed negative passages:<br \/>\n    Women must be silent in church.<br \/>\n    Not allowed to teach men.<br \/>\n    Under authority of men.<\/p>\n<p>  Questions of interpretation:<br \/>\n    Are these passages timeless, or for a particular situation?<br \/>\n    What exactly is a pastor?
