God&#8217;s hands are a place of majesty and power.<br \/>\n   2. God&#8217;s hands are a place of loving intervention.<br \/>\n   3. God&#8217;s hands are a place of safety.<br \/>\n   4. God&#8217;s hands are a place of discipline.<br \/>\n   5. God&#8217;s hands are a place of fulfillment.<\/p>\n<p>Further development of article (basis of 11\/2\/97 sermon):<\/p>\n<p>    I. &#8220;Leave it in God&#8217;s hands now.&#8221;  Trite advice?<br \/>\n        A. We are driven by a need to DO something.<br \/>\n        B. What does it mean to leave something in God&#8217;s hands?<br \/>\n            1) Do we ever really do it?<br \/>\n            2) What kind of place is God&#8217;s hands?<\/p>\n<p>   II. God&#8217;s hands are a place of majesty and power.<br \/>\n        A. Bible passages.<br \/>\n            1) Habakkuk &#8211; rays flash from his hand.<br \/>\n            2) Isaiah &#8211; his hands spread out the heavens.<br \/>\n            3) Exodus &#8211; his hands shattered the enemy.<br \/>\n        B. Can a God with such awesome power save a bad marriage?<br \/>\n            1) Author&#8217;s husband was in a mental hospital last 5 years.<br \/>\n            2) Our lives may change, but Christ does not.<br \/>\n                a) His grace is still sufficient for our weaknesses, ALL<br \/>\n                      of them.<\/p>\n<p>  III. God&#8217;s hands are a place of loving intervention.<br \/>\n        A. God&#8217;s hand is outstretched toward us.<br \/>\n            1) Themes of rescue.<br \/>\n        B. Our children can never go beyond the reach of a loving God.<br \/>\n            1) What if they don&#8217;t want to be held onto?<br \/>\n            2) Like a good parent, God still doesn&#8217;t let go.<br \/>\n        C. God takes the initiative.<br \/>\n            1) He makes the first move.<br \/>\n            2) Even when we are not looking for help.<\/p>\n<p>   IV. God&#8217;s hands are a place of safety.   [goes with above?&#8230;]<br \/>\n        A. We can trust our loved ones&#8217; safety to a caring God.<\/p>\n<p>    V. God&#8217;s hands are a place of discipline.<br \/>\n        A. Harm can still befall us.  Bad things do happen to good people.<br \/>\n            1) God censors trouble.<br \/>\n            2) Everything ultimately happens for our good.<br \/>\n        B. Troubles can be an indication of God&#8217;s hand on us.<br \/>\n            1) He is shaping us, like a potter shapes clay.<\/p>\n<p>   VI. God&#8217;s hands are a place of fulfillment.<br \/>\n        A. We often experience unfulfillment.   (rejected book)<br \/>\n            1) Questions arise.<br \/>\n                a) Are God&#8217;s hands a graveyard of broken dreams?<br \/>\n                b) When we leave something in God&#8217;s hands, don&#8217;t we have<br \/>\n                      to take ours off?<br \/>\n                c) Can we trust God to do what is best?<br \/>\n            2) Acknowledging God is not shrugging off responsibility.<br \/>\n        B. Acknowledge our helplessness and dependence on God.<br \/>\n            1) When we are in the right frame of mind, God can guide us<br \/>\n                  into the appropriate action, at the appropriate time.<br \/>\n            2) A calm attitude, greater understanding, and courage results.<br \/>\n        C.
