The place of women in the Old and New Testaments. (for verses, see sheet)

Evidence in the Old Testament:
Women as prophets.
Woman as judge.
Women as queens.

Evidence in the New Testament:
Jesus gave a big role to women.
He was blessed by them as a baby (Anna).
He forgave, taught and healed them.
Women served Jesus.
They gave him money and hospitality.
They prepared his body for burial.
They were the first to see the empty tomb.
They were the first to see the risen Jesus.
In Acts, women played an important role.
They prayed with the whole church and received Holy Spirit.
They were thrown into prison.
They were called the leading converts in Europe.
They evangelized and taught.
They were prophets.
Role of women in Paul’s letters.
They were deacon(esse)s.
They helped him evangelize.
They prayed publicly.
Men and women are interdependent and equal.

Supposed negative passages:
Women must be silent in church.
Not allowed to teach men.
Under authority of men.

Questions of interpretation:
Are these passages timeless, or for a particular situation?
What exactly is a pastor? Teacher? Preacher? Leader?
