The first sign of creeping liberalism in the church is a softness on the inerrancy of Scripture. Much evidence in history. But equally dangerous is creeping rigidity due to lack of fellowship. Fellowship is not based on uniformity of thought and practice, but on acceptance of others who claim Christ as Lord. Rigidity has caused failure of drive to eliminate abortion on demand (Evangelicals and Fundamentalists couldn’t compromise.) Mission strategy has also suffered.
