NightLight is a Christian mission outreach to the red light district of Bangkok, Thailand. The missionaries visit local bars and clubs and tell the workers about the new life they can have in Christ. Missionary Jeff Dieselberg says it is a great thing to see someone coming out of a life of exploitation and receiving new life in Jesus Christ. He has found that even if they temporarily fall back into their old life, they don’t fall down, they fall up into the arms of their loving Savior.

“Sky” recently fell up like that.

“Sky” was one of three women to come out of a go-go bar last year.

She was one of four new women to believe in Jesus and take the discipleship class that Dieselberg teaches.

And she was one of seven women who were baptized at a NightLight retreat.

There were several push and pull factors involved, but some time after this “Sky” fell and went back to the same go-go bar as before.

All of the Christian workers were concerned and very sad.

Friends who reached out to her said “Sky” felt ashamed. After falling like this she would be too embarrassed to come back.

But Jeff’s wife Annie along with a few other mission leaders took advantage of an opportunity that came up to actually go and meet with “Sky” in her room. They encouraged her and prayed with her. They hugged her and did not shame her.

The result? “Sky” fell up. She fell back up into the arms of her Savior. She fell up into church this last Sunday. She fell up at NightLight the day after that to return to her work at the Christian center. She fell up into their chapel times. She fell up into their Bible study classes. She fell up into their heart-to-heart class. “Sky” fell up.
