I. Mother’s Day sermons are hard.
A. Most pastors struggle with this one.

C. A bigger problem is that Mother’s may can be too trite.

II. What mothers want.
A. Gifts can be nice.
B. Most moms want to do it right.
C. The reality always seems to fall short.

III. Mother’s Day has roots in serious stuff.
A. Consider the origins of America’s Mother’s Day.
B. Mother’s Day should be about more than sentimentalism.

IV. How do you stack up as a Bible mom?
A. Motherhood has more expectations for Christians.
B. You need to be committed for the long haul.

V. Motherhood will have its reward.
A. It just might not be what you think it is.
B. It can be more.
