Some commonly held assumptions about accountability can lead to destructive relationships.

Three Misunderstandings:

#1: Spiritual accountability can be imposed.
The relationships we enter into with one another for spiritual
accountability are voluntary, not a means for one person to control
another’s life.

#2: Accountability means that someone leads and someone follows.
There is no biblical basis of a Christian social order where the
teacher is intrinsically better than the pupil.

#3: Accountability focuses on performance.
