Examples of recent pastors who have fallen into sin. A magazine in a large southern city carried a 10 page cover story telling the raunchy tale of an independent Baptist church in the area. The pastor and two members, all brothers, are accused of flagrant sexual immorality. One swapped wives with a man in his former church; then both families moved to this new city. The other brother, who administrates the church school, had left his wife and the church he pastored and went to Florida with a 17 year old high school girl. He and his wife are back together now. The senior pastor is accused of sexual sin by five women in the church, three of whose names are given in the articles.
Another church nearby had a young pastor who defiled more than a dozen women in the church, left his wife, and married the wife of another man in the congregation. It was known he had been involved with numerous girls in his home church. (This part used 8/5/90)
